    Solstice Sunglasses is the retail division of Safilo, based in Padua, Italy, and second largest eyewear creator, manufacturer and distributor in the world.  The Human Resource Department at Solstice Sunglasses provides support to 104 retail locations with 500 plus employees located in 24 states. Solstice is seeking a creative, detail-orientated individual for a paid internship with our Human Resources Department in New York City.  In this position the intern will learn how to take the skills he or she may have acquired in school and apply them to our environment as well as learn skills to enhance their development.


    • General administrative support including but not limited to developing communications to employees, data entry, processing confidential employee information, uploading documents.
    • Minimum reporting, writing directives, job descriptions as well as assisting with the candidate screening process.
    • Assist in maintaining active and terminated personal records.


    • Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program majoring in Human Resources
    • Must have a GPA of 3.0 or better
    • Detail orientated with strong oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to prioritize tasks, highly organized to handle numerous assignments simultaneously and meet deadlines
    • Can work both independently or as a team player in a fast-paced environment
    • Maintains a strong customer service mentally, maturity to recognize and maintain strict confidentiality and employee privacy
    • Statistical, analytical and proficient in Microsoft Office (emphasis on excel and word)
    • Self driven, motivated with a desire to learn
