Overview

As a Senior Manager, SEO / SEM, you will lead the strategy and execution of Solstice Sunglasses natural search program and paid search programs. Reporting to the Director of Merchandising and Marketing, you will be part of a high performing Media center of excellence, partnering with your peers who run Social, Site Experience and Product Management in a flexible working location. 

Responsibilities

 

  • Align Solstice Sunglasses natural search strategy to Solstice Sunglasses business goals and marketing priorities to meet revenue targets
  • Continuously audit Solstice Sunglasses for opportunities to improve our technical SEO, collaborating with Product Management to identify and prioritize IT projects, owning from conception to launch
  • Serve as an evangelist for SEO / SEM across the company, working with cross-functional teams to instill SEO / SEM best practices, update processes and improve communication
  • Ensure that Solstice Sunglasses stays focused on SEO activities that have the biggest impact on Natural Search revenue growth
  • Stay abreast of industry trends (like Voice Search) and keep internal team informed of risks and opportunities that will impact the SEO program
  • Personal commitment to putting the customer first, prioritizing user experience above search engines and while adhering to Google Webmaster Guidelines
  • Grow organic search traffic, and associated revenue, to Solstice Sunglasses
  • Provide ongoing keyword research for search engine optimization and provide to cross-functional teams including Marketing, Merchandising and Site Operations.
  • Support the Content Team with keyword trend data used in the content strategy for the Solstice Sunglasses website and promote SEO best practices
  • Through regular site audit, identify technical SEO issues, recommend and project manage fixes with the IT teams; work closely with technical resources to ensure SEO project prioritization and completion
  • Optimize content (copy, images, video) through keyword and landing page analysis, and use competitive research to help guide content marketing strategy
  • Build and manage guidelines for website content, landing page copy using analytics and keyword expertise

Qualifications

 

  • BA/BS Degree
  • 4+ years’ relevant experience in SEO and proven record in optimizing ecommerce sites
  • Deep knowledge of on-page SEO, technical SEO and search engine ranking factors
  • High-level of initiative and proven ability to work independently on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to draw conclusions from data and take action accordingly
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Impeccable attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to indirectly manage and build strong relationships and consensus across diverse teams and personality types
  • Ability to convey the value of SEO to people who know very little about Search
  • Experience using an enterprise-level SEO platform (Conductor, BrightEdge, et. al.)
  • Strong familiarity with industry tools such as the Google Keyword Planner, Botify, Screaming Frog SEO Spider, SEMRush, Majestic SEO/Open Site Explorer, etc.
